Central Florida to see warm, sunny days ahead as drought concerns grow

  • November 16, 2025

ORLANDO, Fla. – If you’re hoping for pleasant afternoons around Central Florida, you’re in luck—daytime highs are expected to stay near average, ranging from the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Today’s highs

Forecasts call for plenty of sunshine and a stretch of rain-free days wrapping up the weekend and heading into the new week.

The sunny forecast does come with an important caveat: increasing drought concerns. The lack of rain is leading to abnormally dry conditions, especially in Marion, Sumter, and Lake counties, as shown on the Drought Monitor.

Drought Map

These dry areas could expand further east if the rain stays away through the coming work week. Along with rising drought risks, humidity levels are expected to increase gradually, which means the air could feel a bit muggy as we move further into the week.

A Touch humid around midweek

The mild trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The forecast shows temperatures steadily climbing, with highs reaching the mid-80s by Thursday. Expect quiet conditions to stick around as high pressure remains in control.
