The kickoff time and broadcast details are officially set for Tennessee football’s matchup against Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kickoff between the Vols and Gators is at 7:30 p.m. ET with ABC broadcasting the game.
The SEC announced a flex option for the game earlier this week, slotting it either in the night or afternoon time slot. Tennessee-Florida ended up in the primetime slot with Arkansas-Texas slotting into a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC. It is unclear who is announcing the Tennessee-Florida game at this point but the marquee crew of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe is in play.
It’s the Vols’ fourth night game of the season with all four coming in their last five games. They previously faced Oklahoma, Alabama and Kentucky in night games. Tennessee has also played four afternoon games this season and two games in the noon time slot with matchups against Syracuse and UAB.
Tennessee improved to 7-3 (3-3 SEC) on the season Saturday by dominating New Mexico State 42-9 at Neyland Stadium. With three losses, the Vols chances to return to the College Football Playoffs are all but extinct. But Tennessee still has plenty to play for with a rivalry game against Florida chief amongst them.

Florida fell to 3-7 (2-5 SEC) on Saturday afternoon with a 34-24 loss against Ole Miss in Oxford. The Gators have lost all three games since firing head coach Billy Napier last month following their victory over Mississippi State. Florida has had flashes of solid play this season, most notably a win over Texas. But it’s been few and far between including an embarrassing loss at Kentucky last week.
The Vols have not won in Gainesville since 2003, losing 10 straight road games against Florida ahead of the November matchup. If there was ever a season for Tennessee to win in Gainesville, this would be it.
It’s a weak SEC slate on the penultimate week of the regular season. Six SEC teams are playing no conference games that week while there are only four SEC matchups. The only other SEC games in week 13 include Missouri-Oklahoma at noon ET on ABC, the Arkansas-Texas and Kentucky-Vanderbilt at 3:30 p.m. on one of ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
