A Miami-Dade woman who once made national headlines for becoming pregnant while behind bars was expected to take the stand Wednesday at her trial where she’s accused of killing her husband.

Daisy Link, 30, is facing second-degree murder charges in the 2022 killing of her husband, Pedro Jimenez.

Prosecutors said Link fired out of “rage” while Jimenez was running away in fear for his life, and claim Link misled investigators, pretending she had simply found her husband injured in an alleyway.

Link admits to firing the shot but insists she acted in self-defense, claiming years of abuse.

A Miami-Dade woman who once made national headlines for becoming pregnant while behind bars is back in court — this time facing a jury for the crime that first landed her in jail.

Body camera video showing the moments after she shot her husband in the leg, a wound that proved fatal, was played at the trial.

“Is he OK? Is there a pulse?” Link is heard crying in the video.

In another part of the footage, Link is heard shouting, “Pedro, what happened?” as officers attempted life-saving measures.

Other video evidence obtained by NBC6 allegedly shows Link walking away from the scene after the shooting, telling Jimenez, “I think I hit a major artery, you’ll be fine.”

Link made national news in 2023 when she became pregnant while behind bars.

Authorities said Link and another inmate, 24-year-old Joan Depaz, began conversing through the jail’s air vents and he was able to send semen enclosed in plastic wrap to Link through the jail’s ventilation system.
