TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Dozens of people came out for the Healing Arts Festival in Tallahassee on Sunday, bringing the community and holistic healthcare companies together.
The event was at Amicus Brewing Ventures and was put on by Sensoria Chiropractic. Melody Alayon helped organize the first event of its kind for the organization.
“When we talk about the future of holistic medicine in Tallahassee, one of the big things we want to do is create a multidisciplinary network of different practitioners and people that can refer people back to each other, to find that personalized healing that they’re looking for,” Alayon said.

Alayon said she attended a similar festival in the past that was more expensive, fueling her desire to bring one to the capital city. “We wanted to bring something like this to the community for everybody and make it free,” she said.
The ultimate goal is to help spread awareness about the holistic organizations in the area, according to Alayon. “I think a lot of the people in the community don’t know that we have these resources here, so we just wanted to make that more in focus for everybody in the community,” she said.
There was plenty of food, music, beer, raffles, and activities for kids at Sunday’s festival.
