According to Habitat for Humanity, the ReStore locations were an essential part of the organization’s mission, offering gently used furniture, home improvement items, and building materials to the public at discounted prices — all while supporting efforts to build affordable homes and provide critical repairs for local families in need.
“While this was not an easy decision, it allows us to focus our resources more directly on building and repairing homes for the families we serve,” said Bob Calhoun, the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity St. Lucie and Okeechobee.
Habitat for Humanity St. Lucie and Okeechobee says it will continue its mission to provide affordable homeownership and critical home repair opportunities.
