PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – At least seven people were injured Sunday night when a boat crashed into the rocks across from Jetty Park, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash, which happened around 6:20 p.m. in Port Canaveral, sent seven people to hospitals, according to deputies.
“It appears all (victims) are accounted for,” deputies said.
Four victims were taken to hospitals as trauma-alert patients, one of whom was airlifted from the crash site.
The cause of the crash is not known.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be the lead agency investigating the crash, the sheriff’s office said.
The FWC said it was aware of the incident and will release more information on Monday.
