Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently welcomed two new board members: Suzanne Worthingtonand Ryan Grail.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has named Suzanne Worthington, MEd, Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Orlando Health, to its Board of Directors.

Worthington has dedicated nearly three decades to improving health outcomes in Central Florida. In her current role at Orlando Health, she is responsible for overseeing performance in all areas of clinical quality, working alongside the board of directors, leaders across the health system, and medical staff to ensure evidence-based practices and protocols are in place. Her experience also includes service on the boards of the Orlando Science Center and the Orlando City Foundation.

“Suzanne brings decades of leadership in improving systems of care,” said Derrick Chubbs, President and CEO of Second Harvest. “Her guidance will help us continue building innovative strategies that address both immediate hunger relief and the long-term well-being of our community.”

Worthington graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Education in Secondary Social Studies Education.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently appointed Ryan Grail to its Board of Directors as the first representative of the organization’s Young Professionals Committee. This newly created seat ensures the group will have ongoing representation on the board each year.

Grail has been involved with Second Harvest for several years, most recently serving as chair of its Young Professionals Committee, where he has helped grow membership and boost fundraising efforts. He has served on other local boards and committees, including the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando, Orange County’s Citizens Review Board, the LGBT+ Real Estate Alliance and the Orange County Board of Zoning Adjustment.

“Ryan combines strategic insight with a genuine commitment to service,” said Derrick Chubbs, President and CEO at Second Harvest. “His perspective will be invaluable as we explore new opportunities to fight hunger and bring hope to more families across Central Florida.”

An Orlando native, Grail graduated from the University of Central Florida.
