FRISCO, Texas – It will be a park of Universal firsts in Frisco starting next year: The company’s first park in Texas and its first resort designed specifically for families with young children.
On Wednesday, Universal Destinations and Experiences announced the seven unique lands that will comprise Universal Kids Resort, featuring rides, character encounters, interactive play areas, and sensory gardens for moments of calm.

DreamWorks Sherk’s Swamp (Universal Destinations and Experiences)
DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp invites guests to dive into Shrek and Fiona’s fairytale love story.
Kids can splash around in Shrek’s Swamp Splash and Smash, enjoy the Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After ride, and meet the beloved ogre couple in a storybook meet and greet.
Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Bikini Bottom (Universal Destinations and Experiences)
Nickelodeon’s Bikini Bottom brings an undersea adventure with SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, and Sandy.
Visitors can explore iconic locations like Mussel Beach, Jellyfish Fields, and Mrs. Puff’s Boating School, enjoying nautical-themed fun and water play.
Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club. (Universal Destinations & Experiences)
At Illumination’s Bello Bay Club, the Yellow Minions try to keep their wild Purple counterparts in check, offering a playful experience for fans of the Minions franchise.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp (Universal Destinations & Experiences)
It’s the perfect playground for young explorers eager to encounter dinosaurs.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp features rides like Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster and Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin, lookout towers with panoramic views, and close encounters with baby Raptors.
DreamWorks’ TrollsFest (Universal Destinations & Experiences)
It’s a glitter-filled party where kids can sing, dance, and play with Poppy and friends.
DreamWorks’ TrollsFest includes interactive areas like Poppy’s Playland, Trolls Critter Crawl, and a sensory garden, plus a meet and greet dance party with the Trolls gang.
DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar (Universal Destinations & Experiences)
DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar offers feline-themed fun with rides, carnival games, festive food, and a sensory garden.
Guests can join kitty adoption day festivities and meet Puss in Boots himself in a vibrant village setting.
Isle of Curiosity with DreamWorks’ Gabby’s Dollhouse (Universal Destinations & Experiences)
Isle of Curiosity is designed as a spacious play area where kids can roam freely. Families can enjoy shade, kid-friendly food, and a dance party with Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, who also hosts a mini meet and greet inside her dollhouse.
Additional details about Universal Kids Resort will be revealed over time.
First announced in 2023, Universal Kids Resort comes on the heels of Universal’s biggest U.S. theme park, Epic Universe.
Earlier this year, Universal also announced plans to build its first European theme park on a site near London.
