Cape Coral is participating in the 92.5 Fox News 10,000 for the Troops holiday card campaign, encouraging residents to write messages of support for deployed service members. Cards may be dropped off at six locations, including Cape Coral City Hall, Slipaway Food Truck and Marina, Fathoms Restaurant & Bar, Bubba’s Roadhouse & Saloon, Hooked Island Grill, and Mel’s Diner. The deadline for submissions at Cape Coral locations is Dec. 4. Cards also can be dropped off at any Mel’s Diner location across Southwest Florida by Dec. 6. To meet mailing guidelines, cards should be unsealed and free of glitter, photos or personal details. Now in its 11th year, the initiative unites schools, veterans and families in showing appreciation for those serving abroad during the holidays.Â
