Fans of the “Lord of the Rings” films might have a hard time believing that it’s been 25 years since four hobbits left the Shire to embark on an unforgettable adventure.

Now, the four cast members who portrayed Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin are reuniting for a tour of 11 North American cities, including a stop at MegaCon Orlando on March 21, 2026. “An Evening with the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years” gathers Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and Elijah Wood, promising more than a reunion and “so much more than a panel” during this “once-in-a-quarter-century” celebration tour.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 22, along with VIP experiences that include photo ops and autograph sessions. Attendees must also have MegaCon Orlando admission passes for the event returning March 19-22, 2026.

Fans attending the special evening event can expect to see the hobbits hosting “part variety show, part storytelling session” with behind-the-scenes memories, fun antics, reflections of the film, inside jokes and surprise moments. The cast members will shine a light on their friendship that has stood the test of time 25 years after it first began.

“FAN EXPO is all about creating unforgettable experiences, and ‘An Evening with the Hobbits’ will be exactly that,” said Andrew Moyes, vice president of MegaCon event producer Fan Expo HQ, in a news release. “Fans are delighted whenever we host these gentlemen individually — but together, the energy is electric. Their characters are beloved, their friendship is indelible, and the joy they bring to audiences is unmatched. We can’t wait to present this special anniversary celebration in 2026.”

Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in the “Lord of the Rings” films, is using this moment to reflect on his career and the passage of time.

“To be celebrating this milestone – a quarter of a century – just feels abstract. It still feels like the films are really present,” Wood said in a news release. “The fact that we’re spending this kind of time (at conventions with fans and doing shows like this) it keeps it so fresh for us. It’s such a massive, continual part of our lives.”

Throughout next year, the hobbits will also reunite at comic cons in New Orleans, Portland, Vancouver, Calgary, Denver, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and Dallas.

Tickets for the event are $139 for a gold ticket with first priority seating, $59 for a silver ticket with second priority seating and $20 for general admission with third priority seating. A $799 backstage pass includes a gold ticket, a photo op with all four hobbits and one guaranteed in-person autograph from all four hobbits. In-person autographs are available for $80-$100 each or $329 for all four. Photo ops are available for $80-$100 each or $150-$299 for team-up photos with multiple hobbits.
