Allegiant Air is expanding its South Florida footprint this winter with four new routes out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), including the carrier’s first nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale to Trenton, N.J.

The new Trenton route will launch February 18, giving travelers a new low-cost option to reach the central New Jersey and greater Philadelphia region. Allegiant, known for its point-to-point leisure network, has steadily grown at FLL in recent years, and the additions mark another step in the airline’s strategy to link Florida with mid-sized markets across the Northeast and Midwest.

Before the Trenton debut, Allegiant will roll out three additional routes earlier in the month:

FLL to Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) — service begins February 12

FLL to Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) — service begins February 12, returning to the market for the first time since 2017

FLL to Albany International Airport (ALB) — service begins February 13

All four new routes will operate on a sub-daily schedule, consistent with Allegiant’s model of offering select flight days geared toward leisure demand.

The moves strengthen Allegiant’s position in a competitive South Florida aviation market, where carriers continue to expand into secondary cities across the Northeast. The return to Rochester also revives a link previously served by the airline seven years ago.

Fares and schedules vary by route, and Allegiant encourages travelers to check specific operating days when booking.
