No injuries reported after Tallahassee home catches fire Tuesday afternoon

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – No one was hurt after a home caught fire early Tuesday afternoon in Tallahassee, according to the Tallahassee Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the residence on Hutchinson Street at about 1:30 p.m. to find smoke billowing from the roof of the home.

First responders were initially told that there may be someone inside the home. However, after searching the structure, firefighters found no one was inside and quickly extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to TFD.

In addition to the fire department, the Tallahassee Police Department, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Leon County EMS also responded to the scene.
