A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized Tuesday after neighbors said he was attacked by a dog in Fort Lauderdale, officials said.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue confirmed they responded to the 1800 block of Northwest 15th Court at around 3:45 p.m.
The boy was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with a minor leg injury, officials said.
A neighbor said she saw the boy playing with his brother, and then all of a sudden, she heard a scream. She said the boy ran to her front porch.
“The blood was just coming down from the wound,” she said, adding she tried to help clean up the wound until paramedics arrived.
