A man in Cape Coral, Florida, was arrested on Nov. 10 for stalking, loitering, and trespassing after reportedly harassing a family since 2018, with police finding him hiding in bushes near homes on Pelican Boulevard and SW 47th Street.Last week, officers apprehended Nicholas Cunningham again following reports of him standing in the road and hitting passing cars.He was arrested for knocking on both the front and back doors of a family’s home multiple times, shouting threats before fleeing. Cunningham had previously been arrested for trespassing at the same home in 2021 but returned, claiming he was unaware the order was still in effect.Neighbors in Southwest Cape Coral are worried after learning about the ongoing harassment. Anna Moffitt, a SW Cape Coral resident, said, “Banging on cars and on your door. Yeah. I’d be scared for sure. I’d probably call the cops even, dare I say.”Jezybel Cornelius, another resident near Pelican Boulevard, said, “It’s definitely a little nerve-wracking hearing that, making sure you have all your precautions set to be safe in that kind of situation. And just kind of keep an eye open, be a little bit more cautious than normal.”The reason for Cunningham’s repeated visits to the family’s home remains unclear. He is currently out on bond and has pleaded not guilty. Cornelius added, “There’s crazy people down here. Last week, officers apprehended Nicholas Cunningham again following reports of him standing in the road and hitting passing cars.
