OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Osceola County Board of Commissioners and Orlando City SC signed a memorandum of understanding on a framework for improvements and updates to Osceola Heritage Park, Osceola County Stadium and the surrounding property, the county and Major League Soccer club announced.

The county and soccer club have committed to spending at least $50 million for the renovations at the park, including upgrades to the Orlando Health Training Grounds, Osceola County Stadium and mixed-use developments.

“This agreement marks an important first step towards realizing our vision of building a state-of-the-art training facility for all of our teams,” said Jarrod Dillon, Orlando City SC & Orlando Pride President of Business Operations. “We’re excited to continue our partnership with Osceola County.”

As part of a multiphase plan, Orlando City SC will relocate its Orlando Pride offices, support personnel, in-season training and year-round operations to a portion of the park adjacent to Bill Beck Boulevard and U.S. 192 and plans to develop a state-of-the-art training facility to house all of its teams — Orlando City, Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League, Orlando City B and the Orlando City Academy.

The memorandum of understanding also calls for the club to assume management of Osceola County Stadium and the surrounding public-use fields. It is also expected to add a new medical facility, restaurant and hotel to the area.
