A Miami man is facing charges after he allegedly filmed himself having sex with his girlfriend without her consent then shared the video with a group chat after they broke up, authorities said.

Hernan Jose Castro, 26, was arrested Tuesday on charges of digital voyeurism dissemination and sexual cyberharassment, Miami-Dade jail records showed.

According to an arrest report, Castro and the alleged victim were in a relationship for about a week while she was visiting Miami and broke up after she left.

During that week they had engaged in sex, and after they broke up a mutual friend told the ex-girlfriend that Castro uploaded a video of them having sex to a group chat, the report said.

The video was sent to the alleged victim, who said she was unaware that Castro was recording during the encounter and hadn’t consented to him recording her or sending it to anyone, the report said.

She also had a screenshot where it appears Castro told a friend “better not send it (video).. to anyone,” the report said.

Castro was taken into custody Tuesday and initially told detectives there were no videos and that the victim was upset at him about a screenshot, the report said.

The detectives showed him the video, which he claimed was recorded on the victim’s phone before retracting that, the report said.

Castro was arrested and booked into jail. He appeared before a judge on Wednesday who granted him a 5,000 bond and ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim.
