Miami has always been a city driven by creativity and ambition. It’s a place where neighborhoods brim with energy and where people from every background shape the rhythm of our community. Born from that same spirit, The Underline was designed not just as a park or a trail, but as a platform for opportunity — a 10-mile corridor connecting neighborhoods, people, ideas, and local businesses beneath the Metrorail from Brickell to Dadeland.

When complete in 2026, The Underline will transform 120 acres of land into a destination where recreation, culture, and commerce coexist. Even now, we see the impact with thousands of residents and visitors walking, biking, and gathering each week, finding new ways to move, share, and thrive.

Community and opportunity at the core

The Underline works because it belongs to the community. Each year, more than 200 free programs bring people together to learn, celebrate, and support local business. In Brickell, The Underline Market has become a Saturday staple. The Backyard Promenade fills with vendors selling crafts, fresh produce, and food, while musicians and chefs turn the space into a neighborhood gathering spot.

The Underline’s reach extends farther than its corridor. Through Community Connections, we partner with small businesses and vendors across Miami to host pop-up events that showcase entrepreneurs and create new opportunities in neighborhoods not directly on The Underline. An integral part of the journey is to ensure our impact ripples throughout the Magic City, beyond 10 miles. At a recent event in Miami Gardens, Easy Cookin’ with Sy, a catering and private-chef business founded by Food Network winner and licensed therapist Chef Syerra Lynn, joined a day of food, music, and community that drew hundreds of residents, new and existing patrons alike. From her Spice Magic seasoning line to her cooking classes, Chef Sy represents the kind of creativity and entrepreneurship we’re proud to help showcase citywide.

Health and wellness in motion

The Underline is redefining how Miami’s communities are thinking about mobility, movement and healthy living. With amenities like the Urban Gym and the upcoming Pineland Courts & Fitness Room sponsored by Baptist Health, residents of all ages have access to spaces that promote movement and well-being.

Programs such as UYoga, Zumba, and Bike & Learn rides turn the park into an open-air fitness studio supporting both physical and mental health. Amongst the hustle of Miami, The Underline offers serenity with our native landscaping, pollinator gardens, and bioswales that restore Miami’s natural ecosystem.

A stage for culture and connection

Culture thrives where people gather, and The Underline has quickly become one of Miami’s most dynamic cultural stages. From the Brazil Day festival, sponsored by Inter, that drew 5,000+ attendees to rotating art exhibits, the park celebrates the city’s cultural pulse.

With support from the Levitt Foundation, we’re preparing to launch a new concert series that will bring even more music and storytelling to the space. Romance, too, has found its home here — from proposals and weddings to photo shoots, brand activations, and film productions, The Underline has become a setting for everyone’s passion.

Looking ahead, new amenities will continue to make The Underline a place where people, families, and businesses can grow together.

Pathways to stability and growth

At its core, The Underline is about giving people a path forward. For example, recently launched in April 2025 by Chapman Partnership, CP Works and The Park Stewards program received its first corporate sponsor with the Lennar Foundation. The CP Works program is an innovative bridge employment program that provides opportunities for individuals who have experienced homelessness to re-enter the workforce, build independence, and prepare for permanent employment. The first employer to contract with CP Works, The Underline has created the Park Stewards program where participants gain hands-on skills in park operations and maintenance while also receiving support with housing stability and financial literacy.

Our Park Stewards earn steady wages, gain new skills, and receive hands-on experience that helps them take the next step toward independence. One Steward, Marie, saved enough through her work on The Underline to move into her first apartment, a milestone that represents what this program is truly about: dignity, stability, and a fresh start.

When public spaces are connected to purpose and community, they don’t just improve neighborhoods — they change lives.
