Friday, Nov. 21

• Food Pantry Thanksgiving Drive, Springs Church, 900 Park Ave., Orange Park. Starting at 10 a.m., at least 150 families can pick up a Thanksgiving meal, consisting of a turkey and side items to feed a family of four.

Saturday, Nov. 22

• Feeding the Five Thousand, First Baptist Middleburg. This year’s event will be held at two places: the parsonage street lot, 2645 Blanding Blvd., Middleburg, starting at noon for the first 1,000 families, and by the Family Church at the Clay High parking lot, 2025 State Road 16, Green Cove Springs, starting at 11 a.m. for the first 250 families. Each box contains a turkey, box of instant potatoes, canned green beans and jellied cranberry sauce, a box of stuffing for turkey and a box of brownie mix. The packing party will be at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m., and at Family Church in Green Cove Springs on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 a.m.

There will be festival and Thanksgiving food giveaway at Tanglewood Park, 2680 Gifford Ave. from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Monday, Nov. 24

• Clothes Closet and Food Pantry, 1010 Fromhart St., Orange Park. If there are Thanksgiving boxes left over from the meals that were reserved from the previous week, or if the pantry receives more donations, additional Thanksgiving boxes will be distributed, starting at 9 a.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 25

• Salvation Army Thanksgiving turkeys will be distributed at 9 a.m. Residents must get a ticket in advance to secure a turkey. For more information, call (904) 276-6677.
