MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced Thursday that one of its own deputies has been arrested following an internal investigation.

Details surrounding the arrest are limited, according to MCSO. Officials say Sheriff John Budensiek will provide comments at 2 p.m.

What CBS12 News knows is that a road patrol deputy was arrested and is being held on $30,000 bond. According to MCSO, the deputy had been working with the sheriff’s office for about three years.

The Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed the deputy’s name, the charges, or the circumstances leading to the arrest. More information is expected later.
