A Florida woman faces more than 40 charges for allegedly coercing her 11-year-old daughter into performing various sex acts on video that she then distributed.
The mother, whose name has been withheld, was taken into custody at her St. Petersburg residence on Monday following the arrest of a 38 year old man who had obtained and viewed child pornography the woman allegedly transmitted to him, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
The mother transmitted at least 14 explicit videos recorded between March and April showing her daughter engaging in a variety of sex acts, including bestiality with the family’s pet dog, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri revealed in a video posted on Facebook.

“The things that the mother did to the daughter are graphic, and they are grotesque,” Gualtieri stated.
“These cases are the worst cases of child abuse and in this case, it’s not just sexually abusing a child, it’s gross sexual abuse of a young girl by her mother to satisfy an adult with a perverse craving for watching kids engaged in sex acts,” he continued, reports the Express US.

The sheriff suggested that the mother and the 38-year-old who possessed the pornography likely connected online.
Investigators remain uncertain whether money changed hands.
Whether the videos were distributed to additional individuals remains unclear, as does the total number of videos the mother compelled her daughter to participate in.
Authorities believe the remainder of the family was unaware of the ongoing abuse and that it didn’t involve her other sibling. The victim was allowed to remain in her father’s custody, with Sheriff Gualtieri noting that the Department of Children and Families is “very involved” along with other victim advocates.
Gualtieri revealed that his office has arrested 84 individuals on over 900 charges related to possession or distribution of child pornography since the beginning of the year.
“This is nuts, I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s ruining kids’ lives,” expressed Gualtieri.
The accused woman was taken into county jail and appeared in court on Tuesday, where the victim’s father was also present. The judge ordered the mother to have no contact with her traumatized daughter.
She is currently facing 41 charges, including four counts of capital sexual battery, 13 counts of transmission of child pornography, 13 counts of sexual performance by a child, and three counts of sexual activity involving animals.
