A man is facing a murder charge after he pushed a woman to her death off a Miami Metrorail platform, authorities said.
Jorge Gomez, 45, was arrested Thursday on a second-degree murder charge in the death of 32-year-old Kanisa Love, an arrest report said.
According to the report, on Nov. 15, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputies and fire rescue responded to the area of Southwest 80th Street and U.S. 1 for a report of an unconscious female.

Once they arrived, they found the body of Love lying on the ground under the Dadeland South Metrorail station, the rreport said.
The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and determined she died from blunt force trauma and classified her manner of death as homicide.
Investigators determined that a day earlier, Gomez approached Love and without any provocation pushed her to the ground, the report said.
The report said the incident was captured on surveillance footage. It didn’t give a possible motive for the killing or say whether Gomez and Love knew each other.
“He pushed the victim off the Metrorail platform resulting in her death,” a prosecutor said during Gomez’s appearance in bond court on Friday.
Judge Mindy Glazer ordered Gomez held without bond.
“He killed a 32-year-old lady standing on a Metrorail station, pushed her off,” Glazer said, shaking her head. “You see it all.”
