  • November 22, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, including over 580,000 Floridians.

Leon County has an estimated 5,000 people, or 11.7% over the age of 65 living with Alzheimer’s.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Amanda Campbell joined Ava Van Valen in the WCTV studio to discuss this weekend’s event.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Saturday, Nov. 22, at Cascades Park.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the ceremony starting at 10 a.m. The walk will immediately follow.

You can register on their website.

The event is free to attend.

Our Abby Walton will serve as an emcee for the event.
