Miami vs. Louisville: The matchup

Owners of three ranked wins this season and a sweep of top Florida competition, the Hurricanes are 13.5-point favorites in just their second ACC matchup of the season. Miami opened ACC play two weeks ago with a 28-22 on the road over rival and 18th-ranked Florida State, which was sparked by a big performance by quarterback Carson Beck. The senior from Jacksonville completed 20 of 27 passes for 241 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions with a 197.9 passer rating, as the Hurricanes charged out to a 28-3 lead before holding off a late FSU rally.

The Cardinals come off their first loss of the 2025 season, falling in overtime (30-27) to No. 24 Virginia on a walkoff touchdown run by J’Mari Taylor. Louisville rolled to 25 first downs to Virginia’s 14 and outgained the Cavaliers, 382 to 237, but lost the turnover battle (2-0) and took its only lead, 30-27, on a field goal in overtime, only to see Virginia march 25 yards on four plays to steal a road win. Wideout Chris Bell played a starring role in the loss, piling up 12 catches for 170 yards and two touchdowns from quarterback Miller Moss.
