TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man accused of stealing a forklift and an ATM is facing new theft charges after documents show he allegedly stole a truck the week prior.
38-year-old Joshua Hidalgo’s string of crime allegedly started on November 10 when, according to arrest papers, he stole a work truck from a previous employer.
Also missing from the business were several sets of vehicle keys and a GPS unit.

Arrest papers show Hidalgo had recently been fired. The business owner told police he believed Hidalgo was responsible for the crime.
Surveillance video showed what appeared to be Hidalgo at the business at the time of the crime.
Officers met with Hidalgo at the Leon County Detention Facility, and he claimed he was “being set up.”
Hidalgo is facing burglary, grand theft of a motor vehicle, grand theft and criminal mischief charges.
Just days after the suspected business burglary, Hidalgo allegedly stole a forklift from a construction site at Griffin Middle School and used it to steal an ATM.
The ATM theft left a trail of debris along several streets, and home security footage from a resident on Birmingham Street shows the forklift passing through the area.
For the alleged ATM and forklift theft, Hidalgo faces several charges, including burglary of a structure, grand theft and resisting an officer without violence.
