DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A man is dead after he was hit while walking on a busy Highway near Dothan.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say the 34-year-old Dothan man was walking south on Highway 231 near the Florida Welcome Center when the car hit him.
The man was thrown through a construction sign in the median.
The driver who hit the man pulled over in the Florida Welcome Center. It is currently unknown of the driver will face charges.

The Dothan man has not been identified.
