Iowa (5-0) picked up a massive resumé-enhancing win on Thursday night in its opening game of the WBCA Showcase at State Farm Fieldhouse in Orlando, Fla., as the 20th-ranked Hawkeyes downed No. 10 Baylor, 57-52.

Despite Baylor’s Taliah Scott recording an impressive 32-point performance, the Hawkeyes leaned on their terrific defense, a double-double from sophomore center Ava Heiden and a career-high scoring spark from sophomore guard Taylor Stremlow off Iowa’s bench en route to the win.

In tonight’s matchup against Miami, the Hawkeyes will be without sophomore guard Chit-Chat Wright, who left Thursday night’s game early in the third quarter after taking a hard fall. Iowa didn’t specify what injury Wright is dealing with.

Miami (4-0) arrived in Orlando with wins over Hofstra, Bethune-Cookman, Florida Atlantic, and opened its trip to the WBCA Showcase with a 66-58 win over Davidson.
