ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (CBS12) — A mid-morning call about a man possibly sleeping in a Rolls-Royce led St. Petersburg police to a discovery of drugs, including bags of psilocybin mushrooms, and an array of drugs, including guns and knives.

The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) said that on Tuesday morning, officers responded to a call about a man who seemed to be passed out in a parked Rolls-Royce.

SPPD said that the vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Zura Apartments at 225 73rd Avenue North.

Upon arrival at around 8:30 a.m., officers reported finding 23-year-old Eric Stallings sleeping in the car along with various illegal drugs in plain sight.

During a search of the vehicle, officers said they found an array of weapons, including guns and knives, as well as additional drugs, including bags of psilocybin mushrooms.

As officers attempted to arrest Stallings, he allegedly attempted to flee, knocking down one of the officers in the process, which resulted in injuries.
