The Jacksonville Jaguars survived an overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals, despite doing a horrendous job at holding onto the football.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was responsible for all four of the Jaguars‘ turnovers; however, he also threw three touchdowns and 256 passing yards on 18 of 30 attempts.

Cam Little’s field goal in overtime was the difference maker, as the Cardinals failed to convert a fourth down in overtime, ending the game on their first possession.

Jacksonville’s defense forced the Cardinals to punt on the ensuing possession, but just three plays later, Lawrence was sacked in the backfield by Jalen Thompson and fumbled the ball that was recovered in the air by Walter Nolen and run in for a touchdown.

A sack, forced fumble, and scoop and score on the same play for the Cardinals, and just like that, the game was tied 7-7.

The Jaguars responded with a 10-play, 31-yard drive that resulted in a 52-yard field goal for kicker Cam Little, who broke the tie, putting Jacksonville back on top, 10-7.

However, the Cardinals took their first lead of the game on their next possession, after Bam Knight rushed for a one-yard touchdown to lead 14-10.

Arizona kicker Chad Ryland missed a 33-yard field goal wide right with 17 seconds remaining in the first half, and the Cardinals entered halftime leading by four.

Just four plays into the second half, Lawrence threw an interception to Garrett Williams after a 51-yard drive, but Arizona could not capitalize after the turnover.

The Cardinals went three-and-out, giving the ball back to Jacksonville with a chance to take the lead.

Lawrence found Jakobi Meyers for a 10-yard touchdown reception, and Little tacked on the extra point to retake a 17-14 lead over Arizona. However, on the Jaguars’ next offensive possession, Lawrence threw his second interception of the game, throwing a short pass intended for Meyers that was intercepted by Akeem Davis-Gaither.

But once again, the Cardinals failed to turn turnovers into points and went three-and-out, giving the ball back to the Jags, who would return the favor and punt it back to Arizona five plays later.

Lawrence’s third interception of the game came in the fourth quarter, as Budda Baker jumped a deep ball to make a diving interception, which would set up a 39-yard touchdown reception for Gred Dortch, and the Cardinals retook the lead 21-17.

However, the Jaguars responded with a six-play, 65-yard drive capped off by a nine-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Parker Washington to retake the lead, 21-17.

Jacksonville had a chance to close out the game in regulation, but instead, Lawrence threw an incomplete pass on fourth and one, and the Jaguars took up just 18 seconds on the clock before gifting the ball back to the Cardinals with 1:40 remaining in the game.

Arizona stormed 69 yards down the field in just over a minute and a half, which set up a Chad Ryland knocked in a 29-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.

In overtime, the Jaguars struck first with a 52-yard field goal for Little to take a 27-24 lead.

The Cardinals would get the ball back and use eight plays to drive 30 yards. However, Brissett was unable to find a receiver on fourth down, ending the game and awarding the Jaguars their second straight win.
