Holiday car travel has gotten slightly more expensive.

On Sunday, Florida gas prices averaged $3.10/gal, which $0.20 more than last week, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group.

The increase is $0.18 more than last week, $0.15 more than last month, $0.02 more than last year and the same price as Thanksgiving Day 2024.

Spokesman Mark Jenkins said the rise is a “familiar trend after a series of declines.”

“If that pattern holds, drivers could see prices ease as they hit the road for Thanksgiving,” he said. “With pump prices matching last year’s holiday, even a small drop would give travelers extra savings compared to 2024.”

The most expensive metro markets are West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($3.26), Naples ($3.20) and Ocala ($3.17).

The least expensive metro markets are Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.71), Pensacola ($2.73) and Panama City ($2.75).
