Gas prices in Florida rose 20 cents per gallon last week, right as millions of Americans are preparing to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.According to the American Automobile Association, on Sunday, Florida gas prices averaged $3.10 per gallon, which is 18 cents more than the previous week, as well as 15 cents higher than last month.The $3.10 per gallon matches the price on Thanksgiving Day in 2024, AAA said.According to AAA’s annual Thanksgiving Travel Forecast, a record-setting 81.8 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for the holiday. AAA estimates that 90% (73 million) of those people will drive, including 4.25 million Florida residents.”Florida gas prices jumped 20 cents last week, following a familiar trend of rising after a series of declines,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “If that pattern holds, drivers could see prices ease as they hit the road for Thanksgiving. With pump prices matching last year’s holiday, even a small drop would give travelers extra savings compared to 2024.”AAA said gas is most expensive in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, Naples and Ocala, and least expensive in Crestview-Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Panama City. Gas prices in Florida rose 20 cents per gallon last week, right as millions of Americans are preparing to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to the American Automobile Association, on Sunday, Florida gas prices averaged $3.10 per gallon, which is 18 cents more than the previous week, as well as 15 cents higher than last month.

The $3.10 per gallon matches the price on Thanksgiving Day in 2024, AAA said.
