TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said they made a gang-related arrest this weekend after over 10 pounds of THC products were seized from a home in Tampa.

The department’s gang unit had been investigating potential criminal activity at the River Bay Drive residence, and SWAT executed a search warrant on Friday.

Justin Bueso, 20, was arrested from the home and booked into jail on misdemeanor charges.

Law enforcement found a significant amount of drugs at the residence, as well as a Draco pistol and around $6,700, HCSO said.

Illegal narcotics seized:

Approximately 4.5 lbs. of cannabis sativa resin

Approximately 120 grams of THC edibles

Over 80 grams of psychedelic mushrooms

Approximately 2 ounces of prescription medication

“This is a clear example of how gangs and criminal networks try to quietly operate out of our neighborhoods, stockpiling drugs, weapons, and cash,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “Let this serve as a warning: if you bring this kind of activity into our community, we will find you, and we will hold you accountable. Our residents deserve to feel safe in their homes, not surrounded by criminal enterprises.”

The sheriff’s office said Bueso was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, and possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis.

No additional information was provided about the gang Bueso is a part of, or if other arrests are expected in the coming days.
