The Port St. Lucie City Council tonight voted 3 to 1 to approve a pilot program to add red light cameras to intersections across the city.Police Chief Leo Niemczyk wanted red light cameras at the city’s ten most dangerous intersections. So far this year, the city has had 12 deadly crashes, a number that’s higher than last year.The cameras will be placed at several intersections across the city, including Cashmere and St. Lucie West Boulevard, Tradition and Village Parkway, and Gatlin and Savona Boulevard.
