Authorities are searching for the person who shot an 18-year-old on Monday in southwest Miami-Dade.

It happened at around 7:46 p.m. in the area of Northwest 50th Street and Northwest 22nd Avenue. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to several shots fired.

At the scene, authorities found a male victim “lying on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) to the upper extremities.”

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say the shooter fired multiple rounds in the area, hitting the victim, before running off.
