WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) – A Crawfordville man was sentenced nearly a week ago for numerous child sex crimes, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
Donovan Sauleda, 39, was sentenced to 60 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release Thursday “for possession and receipt of child pornography, and production and distribution of obscene material portraying a child,” the attorney’s office wrote in a press release Tuesday.

The 39-year-old’s sentencing comes after a federal jury found him guilty of multiple child sex crimes in June, stemming from an investigation of Sauleda that began in 2021.
The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office began looking into him in November 2021 when he failed to register online as a sex offender, the press release wrote. Sauleda has been a registered sex offender since 2013 after he was found guilty of traveling to meet a minor to commit an unlawful sexual offense and using a computer to solicit or lure a child to engage in sexual conduct, per the sheriff’s office.

However, further investigation led to a search warrant in March 2022, where the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and WCSO found child-like sex dolls and child pornography in Sauleda’s home, according to the attorney’s office.
“The defendant was found to have made videos for sale and distribution with the child-like sex dolls,” the press release revealed.
