FORT PIERCE – A Fort Pierce woman who spent time in the St. Lucie County Jail in October on a battery charge was arrested on Nov. 23, again on a battery charge, though this time against another woman, according to St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Kristi Lee Stewart, 38, of the 5200 block of Seagrape Drive, Fort Pierce was in St. Lucie County Jail on a $6,000 bond as of Nov. 25, on misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting an officer without violence, according to jail records.

According to sheriff’s office reports, a woman who went to Stewart’s home at about 6 p.m., to spend time with her got into an argument with Stewart, who allegedly grabbed the woman, tried to strike her and then spat on her.

When officers arrived, Stewart spoke with them outside the house, but then started to go inside the house, according to sheriff’s office reports.

Stewart, who officers said appeared to be alcohol impaired, tried to go inside but was physically detained by an officer, who asked her to stop. She was subsequently placed inside a patrol car and transported to St. Lucie County Jail, according to sheriff’s office reports.

In October, Stewart was arrested on a battery charge when a man who was renting a room from Stewart claimed she unlawfully entered the house and hit him, according to sheriff’s office reports.
