The Lee County Tax Collector’s Office is enhancing customer convenience by expanding its SmartLocker system to locations in Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres.
SmartLockers offer a secure, self-service option for picking up completed vehicle registration renewals 24/7. Customers can renew online, select a SmartLocker location, and receive a digital code to access their new yellow sticker once ready.
Noelle Branning, Lee County Tax Collector, said, “SmartLockers are another way we’re combining technology and service to make life easier for our customers.”
The system, initially launched in 2023, has expanded over the years to include multiple locations. This service speeds up document retrieval and frees up appointment slots.
Customers can choose to pick up their registration at SmartLocker locations in Downtown Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, or South Fort Myers. A code is emailed when the registration is ready, which can be used to open the locker.
This innovation aligns with the Tax Collector’s vision of excellence in government service, focusing on efficiency and customer care.
