TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee man was found guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a machine gun, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
Twenty-five-year-old Sincere Perkins’ guilty verdict comes after the United States Marshals Task Force located him at an apartment in Tallahassee due to “an outstanding warrant for his arrest,” the attorney’s office wrote in a press release Wednesday.
The press release did not specify when he was located.
While searching Perkins’ apartment, authorities found “multiple firearms, including a pistol that had been modified to fire as a machine gun,” per the release.

Authorities determined that ballistics from two of the recovered firearms matched shell casings from a shooting in Quincy, the attorney’s office said.
Additionally, the 25-year-old’s DNA was found on both firearms that had been used in the shooting and a recorded jail call revealed that Perkins was knowingly in possession of the guns despite being a previously convicted felon, according to the release.
He’s expected to be sentenced February 9.
