Surveillance video from inside a restaurant in Northwest Miami-Dade captured a fight between two people on Wednesday, and one of them was taken to the hospital after they were stabbed, deputies said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived in the area of Northwest 119th Street and 11th Avenue after receiving reports of a stabbing.

Deputies said the subject is a woman who approached another woman and asked for money, but was denied.

The suspect then followed the woman into Fritanga Pinolandia, and a confrontation ensued.

In the surveillance video obtained exclusively by NBC6, the two women were seen inside the store and started fighting.

At one point, the suspect appears to stab the woman several times with an object.

Deputies said the victim was stabbed in the upper extremities and was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition.

NBC6 spoke with the restaurant’s owner, who said he was upset because his customers had to see the fight.

The owner said the two women who were involved have caused problems before, and all that he wants now is change.

“A lady with scissors, you can’t say anything,” Bernando Ruiz said.

Ruiz recalled that one of the women was armed with scissors.

“They fight and put on the head, she stabbed her in the head, yes,” he said. “It’s scary, all of the customers were scared because when you see somebody with scissors, you know.”

Ruiz claims that both women are homeless, and he’s seen them fighting before. He said it’s an issue he’s tried to address many times.

He said after the fight, both women left, but deputies later caught up with both of them nearby.

Neither of their identities was released.
