ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A body located near Disney World on Tuesday evening was the result of an apparent suicide, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office received a report around 6:40 p.m. about a body along North World Drive, which begins just south of US-192 and runs past Disney’s Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary Resort and Wilderness Lodge.
Social media users on Reddit discussed the incident in a thread shortly after the call went out, claiming that the death had impacted guests at the resort.

The sheriff’s office later told News 6 that the incident was an apparent suicide but offered no other details.
On Wednesday afternoon, the medical examiner’s office identified the decedent as Summer Equitz, who died at the Contemporary Resort as a result of “multiple blunt impact injuries.”

News 6 has reached out to Orange County Fire Rescue, Disney officials and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District for more information but has not heard back.
