Turning breezy, more sunny on Thanksgiving

  • November 27, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A breezy, cooler Thanksgiving Day is ahead for the Big Bend and South Georgia.

Tonight Through Thanksgiving Night

A stray shower is possible for Wednesday evening, especially in our southeastern counties. However, most of us are dry. Lows fall into the mid-40s as cooler, drier air rushes into the region.

A beautiful Thanksgiving Day is on tap. We stay dry under plenty of sunshine. However, highs are much cooler, and we are breezy. Temperatures top out in the low-to-mid-60s. We could see winds gusting to 20+ mph at times. As a result, we could see an elevated fire danger on Thursday.

We stay dry, clear and cold for Thursday night. Lows hover near the freezing mark. A light breeze should also continue, so we could see wind chills in the upper-20s at times.

Black Friday & The Weekend

Another cool day is ahead for Black Friday. A heads up, if you’re planning for some shopping early in the morning, you will need to bundle up. Highs on Friday top out in the upper-50s and low-60s under some sunshine. Lows fall into the upper-20s and low-30s.

Clouds should increase to start the weekend, but we are looking dry. Highs on Saturday reach the mid-60s, and lows dip into the upper-40s.

A weak weather system could offer a few showers on Sunday under a mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures are warmer to end the weekend. Highs reach the low-70s, with lows in the mid-50s.

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead, we are keeping tabs on another potential weather system for Monday and Tuesday.

This weather system could offer some beneficial, scattered showers under a cloudy sky. At this time, the better rain chance looks to be Monday night and Tuesday.

Highs on Monday hover in the low-70s, but we should see highs in the mid-60s on Tuesday.
