The 68th Annual Vizcaya Ball brought together Miami’s cultural leaders, philanthropists, and longtime supporters for an unforgettable black-tie celebration. Nearly 400 guests arrived at the historic estate on November 22, 2025, stepping into an evening inspired by Vizcaya’s enduring maritime heritage. This year’s theme—“Voyage to Vizcaya: A Caravel Dream”—paid homage to the spirit of exploration woven into Vizcaya’s story, from James Deering’s 1916 arrival by yacht to the coastal motifs found throughout the architecture and grounds.
Co-chaired by Christina and David Martin and Nancy McCormick and Ray Rasco, the event raised essential funds for the preservation of this National Historic Landmark and its growing slate of community programs. Guests entered via a blue-carpet welcome at the Main House, where maritime-inspired décor blended Old World elegance with imaginative coastal elements, setting the tone for a night that honored the estate’s past while celebrating its future.
A lively cocktail reception filled Vizcaya’s Courtyard as guests enjoyed handcrafted drinks, coastal-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and performances by LID Music Entertainment and New Century Dance. Attendees also previewed a curated selection of auction items, with proceeds supporting Vizcaya’s mission to conserve the estate and expand public access.
Dinner, catered by Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design, unfolded on the East Terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay. The waterfront setting—illuminated with soft lighting and framed by the iconic Stone Barge—offered a dramatic backdrop as guests enjoyed an elevated menu that reflected the event’s maritime theme. The celebration continued with dancing under the bay breeze, energized by the Valerie Tyson Trio, as lights shimmered across the water.
This year’s Ball Committee included Beatriz Bolton, Suzy Buckley Woodward, Elizabeth Costa de Rusch, Swanee DiMare, Natalie Estrella, Roxana Garciga, Sonia Gibson, John Grisham, Camila Guiribitey, Marile Lopez, Linda Lynn Levy, Christina Martin, Sheila Martinez, Nancy McCormick, Bronwyn Miller, Ken O’Keefe, Cammy Richards, Yvonne Rosemeir, Lydia Touzet, and Josie Wang—a distinguished group whose leadership shaped the evening’s success.
Premier Sponsors included Citadel & Citadel Securities, Ken O’Keefe and Jason Stephens, Kenneth C. Griffin, and Lynn Atkinson and David Drucker, with Republic National Distributing Company generously serving as Beverage Sponsor.
Proceeds from the Vizcaya Ball directly support the continued preservation of the museum’s natural and cultural resources for future generations.
