Lehigh Acres man accused of DUI more than 100 mph, chase Thanksgiving morning

A Lehigh Acres man was arrested after he was accused of drunk driving at 107 mph in a 45 mph zone and starting a chase with state troopers in Lee County on Thanksgiving morning.According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s press release, Bladimir Domingo Lopez, 21, is accused of driving recklessly at 107 mph in a Toyota Camry on Daniels Parkway near Treeline Avenue in Fort Myers.Troopers said they tried to stop Lopez just after 3:30 a.m., but Lopez is accused of driving faster, running a red light, going the wrong way, and damaging three patrol cars.It took a PIT maneuver by FHP to stop the Toyota on State Road 82.Lopez was accused of having a 0.135 BAC level and an alcoholic container, “BeatBox,” in the Toyota, according to troopers.He was booked into the Lee County Jail. He is facing charges of fleeing and eluding at high speeds, driving under the influence, three counts of DUI with property damage and three counts of reckless driving with property damage, troopers said.
