TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The fire risk will stay elevated on Friday as we remain dry, breezy and cool.
Tonight Through Friday Night
A cold Thanksgiving night is ahead for the Big Bend and South Georgia. We are dry under a clear sky. Lows fall into the low-and-mid-30s for most of us, but a few upper-20s are possible. A light breeze will continue, so the wind chill could also dip into the upper-20s at times.
High pressure will stay in control on Black Friday, so we remain dry, mostly sunny and breezy. Be sure to bundle up if you have shopping plans early Friday morning. Highs only top out in the mid-and-upper-50s. We could also see winds gusting to 20+ mph at times.
We are dry and cold for Friday night. Lows fall into the low-and-mid-30s. We are expecting clouds to increase by Friday night.
Weekend Forecast
Dry weather will continue on Saturday under a partly sunny sky. Temperatures are slightly warmer. We top out in the mid-and-upper-60s, and lows dip into the upper-40s and low-50s.
A few showers are possible on Sunday, but rain chances are not super impressive to end the weekend. Temperatures climb into the low-70s under a partly sunny sky. Lows hover in the mid-and-upper-50s.
Extended Forecast
Looking ahead, we could see our best rain chance in quite some time for early next week.
An area of low pressure could bring widespread showers to the region, mainly by Monday evening and Tuesday.
We are not anticipating a drought-ending rain, but some spots may pick up around one inch of rain.
Temperatures on Monday reach the low-70s, and lows only fall into the low-60s.
We are looking a little cooler on Tuesday behind this weather system. Highs top out in the upper-60s, and lows tumble into the low-to-mid-40s by Tuesday night.
