Central Florida shoppers line up early for Black Friday deals at Target, Best Buy

3 MILLION FROM JUST LAST YEAR IN 2024. AND WHILE WE DON’T SEE SOME OF THE LINES THAT WE’VE SEEN IN YEARS PAST, BEFORE THE PANDEMIC, THERE ARE SHOPPERS STILL OUT THERE. THEY’RE LOOKING FOR THOSE DEALS SPECIFICALLY WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTRONICS. THIS IS TYPICALLY WHEN THOSE ELECTRONICS DROP TO THE LOWEST PRICES THIS DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING. YEAH. IMPORTANT TO KNOW RIGHT. AND WESH 2’S MEAGHAN IS LIVE THIS MORNING AT A BEST BUY LOCATION ON EAST COLONIAL MEAGHAN. THE DOORS JUST OPENED AND YOU HAD A BIT OF A LINE THERE TO. YEAH, THEY DID JUST OPEN. THERE WERE ABOUT TWO DOZEN PEOPLE IN LINE, SO NOTHING LIKE WE’VE SEEN BEFORE IN THE PAST WHEN THOSE LINES WRAP AROUND THE BUILDING. BUT STILL QUITE A BIT OF SHOPPERS HERE, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THOSE VERY CHILLY TEMPERATURES. A LOT OF THOSE SHOPPERS ARE BUNDLED UP IN BLANKETS AND PUFFERS ON. I WISH I WOULD HAVE BROUGHT MY PUFFER. THIS IS A LOOK HERE AT THE STORE. I MEAN, YOU CAN SEE THOSE SHOPPERS REALLY JUST DODGED INSIDE TO GO AHEAD AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE DEALS. AND WE’RE GOING TO TAKE YOU INSIDE IN JUST A MOMENT. BUT WE DO WANT TO LET YOU KNOW ABOUT SOME OF THE DEALS THAT THEY’RE OFFERING HERE AT BEST BUY TODAY. SOME OF THE TVS, THOSE 4K AND TVS ARE MARKED DOWN HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. THERE’S ALSO A BIG SAVINGS ON LAPTOPS, TABLETS, HEADPHONES, GAMING CONSOLES AND SMART HOME GADGETS. THE FIRST TWO PEOPLE THAT WERE HERE AT 5:00 THIS MORNING TOLD ME THAT THEY ACTUALLY DECIDED TO GET THOSE BEATS HEADPHONES TO COME HERE FOR BLACK FRIDAY BECAUSE THEY SAID THEY WERE ON THE BEST DEAL, BETTER THAN BOTH TARGET AND SOME OTHER RETAILERS. WE’LL COMPARE IT TO WALMART AND TARGET. THE THE ONES THAT SHE WANTS. THE BETTER PRICE WAS HERE AT BEST BUY. KNOW USUALLY I’D BE SLEEPING THIS TIME OF DAY, BUT BECAUSE THE SALES SUPPOSED TO BE SO GOOD TODAY. SO I’M ACTUALLY GOING TO COME OUT AND CHECK IT OUT TODAY. AND BACK OUT HERE LIVE AT BEST BUY. YOU CAN SEE THAT THE STORE HERE IS OPEN. THEY HAVE THAT HEATER GOING HERE. SHOPPERS ARE INSIDE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THOSE DEALS. ANOTHER BIG TICKET ITEM THAT PEOPLE TOLD ME THEY ARE HERE TO GET THIS MORNING IS THOSE POKEMON CARDS. THEY TOLD ME THEY’RE NOT SUPER DISCOUNTED, BUT THEY SAY OTHER RETAILERS LIKE TARGET AND WALMART TEND TO BE A LITTLE BIT BUSIER ON BLACK FRIDAY. SO THEY OPTED FOR BEST BUY BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS IT PRETTY CLOSE OF A DRIVE FOR THEM, BUT THEY SAY THE LINES ARE MUCH SHORTER AND IT’S JUST CONVENIENT TO COME OUT ON BLACK FRIDAY MORNING AS OPPOSED TO WAITING TO GETTING THOSE FOR THE ONLINE SHOPPING. REPORTING LIVE HERE IN BEST BUY MEAGHAN MACKEY WESH TWO NEWS. OKAY, MEGAN FROM BEST BUY. NOW WE TAKE A LIVE LOOK HERE AT THE TARGET ON EAST COLONIAL AND MCGUIRE BOULEVARD IN ORLANDO. WE SAW THE PEOPLE HERE LINED UP SINCE ABOUT 430 THIS MORNING, BRAVING THE COLD. OKAY, THEY’RE GETTING INSIDE NOW. TURNS OUT, THOUGH, THEY WERE ALL WAITING FOR A SPECIAL BLACK FRIDAY PERK. I WOKE UP AND HE WAS LIKE, KELLY KELLY, WAKE UP, WAKE UP I GO, HE GOES, I SAW THIS THING AND YOU GET FREE THINGS. AND I WAS LIKE, OKAY, OKAY, SO HERE’S THE DEAL. SO PEOPLE WERE CAMPING OUT THERE THIS MORNING TO GET A FREE BAG OF GOODIES. TURNS OUT TARGET IS GIVING AWAY FREE LIMITED EDITION HOLIDAY TOTES FILLED WITH GIVEAWAYS FOR THE FIRST 100 GUESTS. NOW TEN LUCKY SHOPPERS PER STORE WILL DISCOVER THEY’LL GET AN EXTRA SURPRISE IN THESE BAGS, WITH PRICES RANGING FROM 99 TO $350.
