TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – St. Stephen Lutheran Church hosted a meal for dozens of their members on Thursday.
“Thanksgiving I feel is not just for family its more giving thanks for people out there that they find it hard especially as immigrants,” Rita Ford, an organizer said.
The church also opened its doors to anyone that was displaced in the Social Seminole fires.

Ford said she has always loved being able to give back to those in need especially during the holidays.
“It really touched my heart, I have to do this if I don’t do this I don’t feel Thanksgiving is good enough,” she said.
The church is also hosting a drive this week for the fire victims.
Leaders are collecting bedding, towels and hygiene essentials to help those affected move forward.
People can drop off items at St. Stephen Lutheran Church or Grace Lutheran Church.
