FORT PIERCE – A Fort Pierce man was jailed on burglary and trespassing charges after St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies arrested him on Nov. 25, according to sheriff’s office reports.

At about 8:44 p.m., deputies responded to a business at 1400 block of Angle Road, Fort Pierce, following a report from the owner about a man rummaging through trucks on the property, according to sheriff’s office reports. The business is used for parking semi-trucks.

Upon arrival, deputies took Steven Ronald Monaco, 42, of Fort Pierce into custody without incident.

During the investigation, gloves were recovered from the area where the suspect was observed, and multiple items were found to have been removed from the cabs of the trucks.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect climbed the property fence to gain access, according to sheriff’s office reports.

Monaco is in the St. Lucie County Jail as of Nov. 26 on a $6,000 bond on charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and trespassing, according to jail records.
