DELTONA, Fla. (CBS12) — Two Florida men accused of firing into a home during an attempted break-in were taken into custody, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
With assistance from the Orlando Police Department (OPD) Gang Task Force and Probation & Parole, Jamar Re’Shaun Battle, 18, and James Jermaine Cropper, 18, were arrested in Orlando, the sheriff’s office says.

Deputies say Battle has 38 prior felony charges and 15 misdemeanors, and Cropper has 22 prior felonies and 4 misdemeanors.
On November 19, the sheriff’s office posted about the break-in that occurred at around 4 a.m. Deputies say four men attempted to break into Wainwright Street in Deltona.
The sheriff’s office said that when the suspects were unable to break into the home, they fired multiple rounds into the residence. Body-camera footage shows four individuals walking down a hallway wearing what appear to be black hooded coats, with their faces covered. Two of them seem to be holding guns as they attempt to enter the home.
No one was injured, the sheriff’s office says. Responding law enforcement found the suspect vehicle on I-4 and pursued it into Orange County before losing sight of it.
At this time, it’s unclear whether VSO has arrested the two additional men involved in the break-in.
The incident is still under investigation, VSO says.
