TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Another cold night is ahead across the Big Bend and South Georgia.
Tonight Through Saturday Night
We are dry and cold for Friday night. For most of us, lows bottom out in the mid-and-low-30s. However, we could see a few upper-20s in those cooler pockets. We are expecting clouds to increase through the overnight.
We stay dry for the first half of the weekend under a partly sunny sky. Highs are slightly warmer. We top out in the mid-to-upper-60s. We are also tracking another day of breezy winds.
We are calm for Saturday night under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Lows bottom out in the upper-40s and low-50s.
Tracking Some Changes
A few showers are possible on Sunday, especially during the afternoon and evening. However, the rain chance is not very widespread. Highs on Sunday climb into the low-70s under a partly sunny sky. Lows fall into the mid-50s.
On Monday, we are keeping tabs on an area of low pressure in the Gulf. A few showers are possible for the first half of Monday, but we should see more widespread rain chances for the overnight. Highs on Monday hover in the low-70s, while lows only fall into the low-60s.
We could see our best rain chance in quite some time on Tuesday. Scattered showers are looking likely under a cloudy sky, especially for the first half of the day. Temperatures reach the low-70s, and lows bottom out in the low-40s as cooler, drier air returns.
We are not expecting a drought-ending rain with this system, but we could see rain totals of 0.50″ to 1″ in spots.
Extended Forecast
Behind this weather system, we are turning drier and cooler for midweek.
Highs on Wednesday top out in the low-60s under a mostly sunny sky. Lows dip into the mid-30s.
We are partly cloudy on Thursday. We could see a stray shower, but the rain chance is rather low at this time. Highs hover in the mid-60s, with lows in the mid-40s.
