JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) – For the second year in a row, Jacksonville State will host the Conference USA championship game!
The Gamecocks defeated Western Kentucky Saturday on a 37-yard Garrison Rippa field goal as time expired, giving the Gamecocks a 37-34 win and an appearance in the CUSA championship under first year head coach Charles Kelly.
The Gamecocks will play for their second straight CUSA championship after defeating Western Kentucky in the title game last year.
Jax Sate will host Kennesaw State, who also clinched their spot in the title game Saturday afternoon.
