PORT ST. LUCIE ── A holiday comedy might be just what you need to feel the spirit of the season.

“Dashing Through the Snow,” described as hilarious and heartwarming, follows a stressed-out innkeeper as she deals with a cast of unusual guests.

It’s four days before Christmas in Tinsel, Texas, and a parade of eccentric guests arrive at the Snowflake Inn to deck the halls with holiday hilarity.

Feuding siblings, self-involved actors, a demanding guest, and a tipsy housekeeper are among them. Trina, the innkeeper, played by Maryam Robinson-Edgecomb, tries to manage the lodge and all the guests’ antics.

The holiday comedy is written by the playwrighting team of Hope, Jones and Wooten. Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten are three of the most popular and widely-produced playwrights in the United States.

The final act takes a delightful turn that leads to a laugh-out-loud finish.

The comedy is directed by Rosemary Knight, a veteran at Treasure Coast Theatre.

“It’s a feel-good show that should have the audience laughing out loud,” said Knight in an email. “And obviously it’s set at Christmas just in time for the holidays.”

Cast members include Angela Anderson Knittel, Ferne Barishman, Saul Bronstein, Wendy Cozine, Christopher Damone, Katie Dempsey, Richard Freire, Chad Granese, Caryn Schneider and Cathi Webster.
